Emmanuel Guzman teaches a member of the Japan Ground Self-Defense how to execute an arm bar from the mount during a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program demonstration Nov. 27 aboard Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan. The demonstration was part of a cultural exchange between Combat Logistics Regiment 35, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force and members of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, 15th Brigade. The Marines taught the JGSDF wrist locks, arm bar from the mount and disarming techniques. A player with Ammo goes up for a shot during the championship game of a Single Marine Program hosted basketball tournament May 28 aboard Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan. During this game God Mountains, a team from Nago City, and Ammo, a team of Marines with 3rd Supply Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 35, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force, battled it out. The Friendship Basketball event strengthened the relationship between Okinawa residents and Status of Forces Agreement members through a day of friendly competition. Students from Hamagawa Elementary School and Department of Defense Education Activity schools across Okinawa divided into combined teams to compete in four separate games.
