The corpsmen endured four miles of obstacles and navigated through simulated combat situations in the jungle terrain. The service members are also sprayed to cool off after running the course for hours in the Okinawan sun. A Marine opens an M256 chemical detection kit during a practical application evaluation as part of Reconnaissance Survey Detection Decontamination training July 18 at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma. For the evaluation, Marines donned mission-oriented protective posture equipment and surveyed an area as an instructor asked attendees questions about the process.
