CAMP FOSTER, OKINAWA, Japan – Lance Cpl. McKenzie A. Curtis mentally steels herself before squatting 225 pounds Aug. 9 at Gunner’s Gym aboard Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. Curtis has been powerlifting since her sophomore year of high school. Despite the taxing schedule of being a military police officer, Curtis balances being an exemplary MP with meal prepping and working out. Curtis is the epitome of the whole Marine concept. Curtis is looking to compete in a Far East Bodybuilding competition and a Strongman competition in the near future. Curtis is a military police officer with Marine Corps Installations Pacific-Marine Corps Base Butler. (U.S Marine photo by Lance Corporal Tayler P. Schwamb)
