Megumi Tamaki, left, shows Melinda Blakley, how to wrap glass bottles during a Furoshiki gift wrapping class Nov. 21 at the Family Readiness Center aboard Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. Furoshiki, the art of wrapping, is a Japanese tradition passed down through generations. Participants were taught how to use brightly colored cloth to wrap different sized gifts. Furoshiki is an eco-friendly alternative to wrapping paper during the holidays and a great way to pass on a Japanese tradition. Tamaki is the family programs and resources intercultural coordinator with Marine Corps Community Services. Blakley is a participant in the Furoshiki class. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Pvt.
