More than 25 attendees participated in the cosplay contest dressed as characters from video games, comic books and movies. Cando, Kim and Rodriguez won the group cosplay contest dressed as characters from the video game series Fallout. The free event was open for attendance to Status of Forces Agreement members and the local Okinawa community. Cando, a Gaithersburg, Maryland native and Rodriguez, a Chicago, Illinois native, are radio operators with 1st Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
